Only UNCG came thru. They along with UTC are emerging as strong contenders for the SoCon.

UNCG beat a 9-1 Marshall team on the road. I consider that a good win.
Was at UNCG but still a good win.

They are emerging as strong contenders with Furman especially after we’ve witnessed Furman’s losses to Penn State, Old Dominion, High Point, and NC State; and the not-so-impressive win over ASU.
(We’ll see how ASU does against Wake tonight. So far, ASU is 4-4, with 2 wins of 60 and 66 point margins against Warren Wilson and Carlow, and a 1-point win over not-so-good [0-9] Louisville. I am no ASU fan - just trying to compare our 4-point win there with how they’ve done so far other than against us.)

UTC won at 7-3 MT tonight 82-73. Watched most of this game and I think UTC is now the team to beat in the SoCon along with Samford when Glover comes back. Remember they have our old nemesis that played 5 years at VMI. They also have 3-4 players in their 6th or 7th year at UTC along with their normal plethera of transfers so they are a veteran team.

When did Middle Tennessee drop the State from their name?

Wake Forest beat App State on a buzzer beater. App State had a two point lead and got the rebound on a missed WF shot with 2 seconds in the game. App.State called a TO but turned it over after the TO. Wake threw the ball in to their big man who caught the pass with his back to the basket about 12 feet from the hoop, he immediately spun around and hit a fall back jumper with the App. State defender right there. Heartbreaker for ASU, but you shouldn't turn the ball over in that situation with a TO called and a chance to set up the inbounds pass.

About Us

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage

GoPaladins.com is not affiliated with Furman University or its athletics programs.
