They are in one...stay patient! Staff member told me this has been by far the hardest year to schedule games...especially with no money to buy games. Samford even offering guarantee money for a home game. Times have changed.
The website(s) that list these tournaments(including campus games that are not really part of said tournament)still does not have FU listed anywhere. In fact one site has Furman listed as "not tied to an event" along with 4 other SoCon teams. It must be one of those like last year against non-D1 teams(SWU and NGU last year).

You mean the same one that got us the Villanova win?

Yes that one, or one similar. Last year we got one D1 game and 2 non-D1 games which at this point might not be a bad thing since it seems we are really struggling to come up with games.

Maybe it does seem we are really struggling to come up with games. Not sure.
Interesting to learn that since 2015, there are ZERO independent schools in NCAA Division 1 basketball.

Maybe the new commissioner of Southern Conference will make it a priority to help get more conference teams in these tournaments by 2020-2021.

Wofford has announced their schedule:
Road Games:
Butler
Missouri
S. Florida
UMES
UNC
Duke
Kennesaw St.

Home Games:
Erskine
High Point
William & Mary
NC Central
G. Webb
NGU

5 nice road games. 2 non-d1. Home schedule pretty much sucks.

Very interesting. Puts into perspective CBR's mentioning "practice facility" in the recent podcast. If a fancy new stadium isn't the sugar to draw flies, then perhaps donated capital would be better invested in a new practice facility.

Their home schedule looks no worse than ours last year, and maybe not even as bad. Will be interesting to see if ours is as good this year as last. Their away schedule is good.

FYI Furman plays at WC Jan. 18th and host them on Feb. 22nd. Much like last year.

Pretty good guess at a few probable games going by the last couple of years schedule:
Home;
Upstate

Away:
Gardner-Webb
Charleston Southern.

UT Arlington announced their non-conference schedule: https://utamavs.com/news/2019/8/8/mens- ... 19-20.aspx

Nov. 27 vs. Furman | Elon, N.C.
As part of the Battle 4 Atlantis Mainland Tournament (which also includes the Oregon and Gonzaga games), UTA heads to North Carolina for a pair of matchups over Thanksgiving, beginning with Furman. The Paladins were considered by many an NCAA Tournament snub a year ago after posting a 25-8 record and NET of 58 before ending the season in the NIT. Furman started the year 12-0, was nationally ranked and defeated 2018 Final Four Cinderella Loyola Chicago and defending National Champion Villanova as part of that start to the season.

UT-Arlington will play at Elon on Nov. 28 as the second game. Looks like we will be back in Elon's building this season for two games, but not to play Elon.

Yep, tried to find who the fourth team is that will be in Elon but can't find anything. Whoever Elon plays on Friday we will play on Saturday. The start of practice is literally 2 months away and a lot of teams still have not announced their schedules.

It appears that Elon picked up games at UNC and Michigan associated with this tournament.

Wofford's games at Missouri, Butler, and Maryland-Eastern Shore and their home game with William and Mary are associated with another tournament. Despite their success last year they weren't able to get a slot in the bracketed part of that event.

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
