vs. UNCG (Feb. 15th)
Dan asked CBR in the pregame “How long into the game will you know how well the Defense is holding the opposition?” CBR’s answer “within the first four minutes.” Today’s 8pt loss was almost exactly where we were at four minutes in. Just dang.
That was terrible. 27% FG%. Only 15 made shots the whole game.
After the Mercer game Bob said “All we’ve talked about for the last 48 hours is defense….” Well, it showed. The D effort was stout. No way we should lose a game holding the other team to 58.
But too much standing around. Too many lazy passes. Too many missed shots inside and down low. None of our typical back door cuts. Our bigs (Cooper, Hein, VanderWal, Johnston, Hughey) were a combined 2-6 from 2 pt land. Only SIX attempts all game.

UNCG has a good defense. That being said, that was a pathetic offensive performance. Too much one on one and no continuity passing. Shoot 26% and have three starters get one point will always lead to an L. The reality is, the kids are trying hard. We just don’t have the fire power.

when was the last time Dins scored 50 in a game
they "only" had 12 TOs but they seemed to be at the worst time
By far worst offensve game of the year. Painful to watch. Not a good sign this late. A winnable game with just a halfway decent game. Playin game more likely after today, but doesn’t really matter anymore
Weve had a lot of poor offensive games..not just this one..guys have no confidence inside and can only kick it back to a guard...poor offensive team

Stone-cold shooting and sloppy ball-handling. We did not look like a team ready for Asheville.
I think we will get 20 wins because we have Citadel left, bit that's all the optimism I can muster right now.

we need to beat VMI at home in order to avoid 7th place..if not it looks like we'll play Citadel in the 7 vs 10th game...not a very good scenerio for success...just a tough year even tho we may win 20 games...bizarre..
0-5 for Bronson today really hurts, he’s shooting a dismal 32% for the season. Hope he can figure that out in the off-season.
