Was a little surprised to see us go with 5 Freshmen instead of maybe taking 1 or 2 senior DII transfers in the offseason next spring...

Coach Richey must really like these 5 young men, looking forward to seeing their careers unfold at FU for as long as we can keep them!

Perhaps he's thinking that 1 or 2 players on current roster could opt to the portal in offseason, which would still leave the ability to take a transfer.

Was just thinking that with the new legislation men’s scholarship limit went to 15 so possibly 2 more? Men’s was 13 vs. 15 for women. Updated: the 15 limit is for next season 25-26 and you can now offer partials too so looks like we will have room for a couple of transfers if need be.

I don't like the idea of 15 scholarship players - just means the larger schools will have more elite players, with lower tier schools probably having to pick up more D2 level players. Given that most schools won't play more than 10 in a season, this will only lead to more transfers down the road.
