FU 9-10 at the free throw line. 9-14 if you count Hein.
yea its mental... lets not add to the pressure IMHO

After his clutch free-throws against VA I honored my promise last year to never criticize his struggles from the line all season. New Season and all I see is “0 for”. It’s mental, but it’s also controllable. Ask Rick Barry. I think the fan base has an obligation to grumble at poor performance that’s controllable.

well 20 point lost to #11 AU is not terrible. Too many TOs to be expected first game. Pearl would have poured in on if he could

IMHO Team has potential. Just gotta figure out the roles

PJ hurt?
Right wrist injury, not sure the severity. Did not practice this week.

Auburn’s size, length and pressure definitely bothered the Paladins. FU’s 2 best players today were both D2 transfers. Anderson and Johnston are going to be fun to watch. I know it is early but depth could be an issue. My starting 5 FWIW would be:
Smith(assuming he will be availsble)
Anderson best player today
Vanderwal main player but still can’t shoot.
Bowser- looked much better than last year, physically and playing wise.
Johnston 2nd best player today
Molnar would be first off the bench. Really didn’t get anything from House(starter)Hein(starter) Bronson, Hughey etc. I will say this Bronson looked the part and should be second off the bench. We had a true freshman play and I think 4 never played.
Just my 2 cents. Crowd was about even with maybe an edge to AU.

Anderson looks like the Real Deal but he can't do it all. Gotta have some point guard play. Hope PJ heals quickly.

Yep Anderson’s the elite shooter as advertised. I realize this is one game against superior competition but Hien and Hughey need to step up… although maybe I should just stop expecting much from them. Why would Furman not at least tweet some highlights like Auburn did?

Some observations from the game today. Anderson was impressive and will be a good two guard when Smith returns at the point. (Broken finger, 3 weeks).Johnston looked good shooting and Bowser has really improved. Hein has not improved and Hughey is too small to play inside. Hard to judge House and Bronson from today's game. The good thing is we don't play many Auburns.
