What do you guys think the rationale is for why they would deserve another year?

Because the NCAA has no power and never has and never will win in court.

Just as a point of interest, because I don't think we are looking for anyone else --

Nathan Medina, a 6'3" guard from Biola University in California, lists Furman as a school showing interest. He has two years of eligibility, averaged 16 ppg and was 1st team All PacWest conference this year. Other schools showing interest include Samford, Elon, Bowling Green and a host of schools out west.
