A Letter From Furman AD Jason Donnelly
Dear Furman Athletics Family,
I hope this letter finds you and your families doing well and enjoying the start of spring.
This past winter, Furman men’s and women’s basketball hosted a record 45,000 fans for our home basketball games at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena, North Greenville University, and Bob Jones University, and culminated in an exciting Southern Conference basketball tournament in Asheville with an incredible crowd of Paladin supporters for our SoCon championship game! We are deeply grateful for your support during our displacement season while Timmons Arena has undergone a $40 million donor-funded renovation into a reimagined first-class facility.
Thanks to the generosity of 300 donors who helped us realize our philanthropic goal, we are prepared to begin the seating and sales process for the 2025-2026 basketball season. The completely redesigned seating bowl will feature a variety of seating opportunities, including courtside seats, club seats, and lower-level seating closer to the floor. The venue will offer eight private suites, two party suites, 32 loge seats, two premium club spaces in the Ingram Courtside Club and the Herring VIP Suite, plus The Rogues Hospitality Deck. Timmons Arena will offer various levels of premium ticketing packages that will feature VIP access and amenities, food & beverage, private restrooms, parking, and concierge service, as well as season ticket packages that start as low as $250 per seat.
There will be something for everyone in the new Timmons Arena. Furman students will have a dedicated seating section and a new “Student Zone” that has been specifically created for students to enjoy. The north side of the arena will include one of the most innovative areas inside any college basketball venue as Kraemer Design & Production has teamed with The Children’s Museum of the Upstate to create the “Children’s Zone”. The arena will also feature a sensory room and nursing room for families. A pair of new ribbon boards will provide first-class fan engagement and corporate partnership opportunities, while our new 360-degree concourse will feature grab-and-go food and drink as well as traditional concession options. The concourse also boasts a drink rail where fans can enjoy an unobstructed view of the action from any angle above the seating bowl. In addition to basketball games, Timmons Arena will host events concerts, and be accessible to the community, while serving as a practice facility for the basketball programs.
The Timmons Arena sales process will begin in April and continue over several months, with the selection process conducted according to priority points. The Furman Athletics Fund Priority Points Guide will continue to serve as a comprehensive overview of the priority points program and establish guidelines for the Timmons Arena seat selection process. Our staff will engage each donor and season ticket holder according to his or her tier and priority points ranking to determine their place in line. They will be notified when we engage the corresponding tier and ranking as we move through the selection process. For further questions, please contact the Furman Athletics Development Office at 864-294-2490.
Once again, we thank you for your passionate support of Furman Athletics. We look forward to seeing you in our redesigned Timmons Arena in the fall! Take care and Go Paladins!
Sincerely,
Jason Donnelly
