I noticed J P has not played at all in the last few Auburn games. Could he be trying to redshirt ? Even walk ons getting in ahead of him. Wish him the best.

No way he can redshirt, he's already played in 13 games..............

You are correct. Does he have any eligibility left?

He played 3 years at Furman and now 1 at Auburn. Correct me if wrong, I don’t think he qualifies for a Covid year. If not, he does not have any eligibility left.

Update. This article says this year is it for JP. https://www.montgomeryadvertiser.com/st ... 302267007/

JP has not played in an SEC game(9 games) and his last appearance was Dec. 30th against Monmouth. Even when Auburn has gine 13-14 deep in blowout games he has not played. I think it is obvious he will not play again this year and will apply for another year of eligibility but not at Auburn. Whether he gets the extra year is a big question mark.

He did play in at least 13 games, so he is not eligible for another year. His college basketball career is done.

Hope the NIL money was good! He could have been Player of the Year in the Southern Conference this year. I hate it for his basketball career.

I understand what you are saying but it’s not all bad for him. I am sure the money was very good but Auburn’s ROI was really bad. Plus he has a chance to get a NC ring. Then he always has the 2023 season and will be a FU legend forever.

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
