Bucky Ball strategy is to foul all the time so that the refs can't call every foul that Samford commits so they "let 'em play". The result is Samford gets away with a ton of fouls more that the opposition.
Correct, if they had called all the fouls on SU we would still be at the Well.

Big win with Pjay having his worst game of the season. Our best stretch was when Molnar and House were in the game for a short time. He pulled them out and SU scored 5 points in 10 seconds. BTW VMI won at Wofford tonight.

Wins like this are a wonderful salve for the four in-conference losses. Evidence that our guys can learn and adjust. Keep learning, guys, and peak at Asheville,
Glad to hear from you furpop. I was getting close to sending you a note and ask if you were able to dodge the CA fires.

Made it much closer than it should have been by shooting 52% from the free throw line. This has quickly become this teams thorn in the side. Good news is this team has equalled last yea’s win total.

Very thoughtful of you, FurmAlum, to remember my remote location. Unfortunately our home is/was in Altadena, CA - right in the path of the conflagration and we lost our house along with those of 6,500 other Altadenans. But Ms. Furpop16 and I are safe, as are the rest of the fam and pets and we've just moved in to an apartment in nearby Monrovia. Enjoying Paladins Basketball and hearing Dan, Tom and Jordan brings much needed joy as we adjust to a new life. Thanks again for thinking of us -

That is what they used to describe as Bobby Knight's style at Indiana. His teams would be committing fouls constantly. After awhile the refs start to think that is just "playing hard." Also the refs don't like games where they are calling twice as many fouls on one team as the other. Most refs don't like any accusation of favoritism. The solution is to stop calling a lot of the fouls. That favors the team that prefers that style. It lead to some overly rough games until the NCAA told the refs they had to call the fouls. It also lead to Indiana stopping winning titles.

And VMI beat Wofford…..
At Wofford. VMI is the biggest surprise so far in the SoCon's first half.
Can they keep it going?

VMI outshot Wofford from the three point line and Wofford contributed to their own defeat with terrible FT shooting - 7-18. Their big man, Filewich was the culprit 0-8

Furman can GUARANTEE itself a winning season with a win tonight !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!’
Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is NOW possible for Furman to lose EVERY SINGLE ONE of our remaining games, including any number of games after the regular season schedule (SoCon Tournament, etc.) and still end up with a winning record for the season.
It’s all gravy from here on!
Go Furman.

About Us

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
