PJay was great yesterday. Too bad he didn't get any help. Gotta have team involvement if we are going to beat the better teams in the SoCon.

Stuff happens in basketball all the time. 12-1 Drake just lost at home to 7-7 Murray State. 66-59.,

Very disappointing loss. Anyhow, again Pjay proved that he is an excellent player with his drives, ball handling, passing, shooting and defense all that with a taped up right hand. I also think Hein is effective when he posts up. When he is doubled up he can hit the open man for a mid or long range shot or make the close in shot himself. Cooper as he develops has a lot of potential in the low post. We caught UNCG on a very hot shooting night while our shooting was more mundane. Next time in Greenville will be different I hope. We also made some errant passes which we need to improve. I was wondering why we didn’t go to the full court press earlier in the second half when we were falling behind. Props to Tyrese for surrendering playing time to Mason Smith for the good of the team. Great example of putting the team ahead of self. Conference has some very good teams that we we have to defeat to accomplish our goals. BTW, I heard some G fans yell, ‘overrated.’ Hope i don’t hear that again.

Anderson shot us out of that game, 1-12 on 3-pt attempts while Bowser had 2 shot attempts.

Anderson certainly shot poorly, but shooters need to keep shooting ! Just one of those nights!
Keep shooting Nick !!

Anderson is one of our better shooters and CRM probably gives him the green light to shoot the threes. He was open for most of these shots although more often than not there was a G player nearby. CRM has talked about being connected and finding the open man as well as finding the hot shooter. We also would benefit from having more scoring threats so we don’t rely too much on Nick and Pjay. Bowser does need more touches in his scoring range. Team has some work to do to get ready for the conference schedule.

He didnt shoot well but he had one of the best +/- for the game, He was contrubuting in different ways
The game got out of hand aftet the 1st sub rotation.
Dins came back a couple times but UNCG answered everytime

CBR also said something about a scouting samll scouting issue. Wonder if it was one of the UNCG subs that seemed to impact the game

I wonder if the finger is affecting his shooting...I would think so...
