Big clutch late game effort to snatch up the win. Love having shooters like Smith and Anderson to shoot late game free throws. Both teams shot 33% on threes. We had a small, but important edge on FTs. They shot better from two point range, had more steals, and more blocked shots but we had 8 more rebounds - all of the advantage from an offensive rebound advantage. And the biggest steal of the game.

It was frustrating to get out muscled inside. Especially after first getting the ball the ball cleanly before it was knocked loose. Need to grip that pumpkin stronger. I thought our depth came through. We played 11 and got 24 points from the bench to FGCU's 8 man rotation and 9 points from their bench. It may have played into our late game burst to come from behind. I thought Johnston, Molnar and Hughey were solid off the bench. Hughey gave us some toughness when we needed it. Bronson is getting consistent with his solid play. Vanderwahl with 10 points, 3 rebounds and three assists and one made three. Couple of key baskets for Hein. Great team win.

Good things happen when we make our FTs. We were 75% from the Line.

That and rebounding. Our first half rebound margin was -6. We ended the game at +8. Whatever adjustment was made at halftime was magical.

As noted above depth was definitely a factor in our favor. 4 of their starters played 34+ minutes. They were 9-13 from the free throw line. 3 of the misses in the last 2 1/2 minutes of the game.

Really good win. See you Saturday at the PalaDome.
