PJ showed out last night. He's better than I thought.
FU Hoopla liked this
"Women, Wind, and Fortune change quickly."
agree! and he showed some moves that reminded SD of Bothwell. And he did it while cramping in the second half
Cooper also had four blocked shots. Solid defensive performance.FurmAlum wrote: ↑Fri Nov 08, 2024 11:28 pmWow what a win! This is the first in person game that I have been able to attend since the NCAA Tourney win vs Virginia in Orlando and it was well worth it. Here's a few observations:
*This year's team plays well together and everybody seems to know their role.
*With the exception of 4-6 minutes in the second half they seemed to know exactly what they wanted to do on offense.
*The D was better in the first half than the second but IMHO is going to be better than LY.
*Belmont was really clogging up the lane which made it tough for our bigs to have any space to operate but that enabled a lot of 3 pt. shots.
*We turned the ball over too much, usually in the paint, getting it knocked away. There were a few muggings by Belmont that were not called.
*Bowser did not score a point but he was a factor on D and had 10 rebounds and 2 steals.
*Our depth is going to win a lot of games for us.
*We've got 4 bigs that can play and 5-6 guys that can shoot the ball.
I really liked what I saw tonight and I'm optimistic that this can be a very good team.
PS Carter Whitt played very well tonight for Belmont
