19 assists and 7 turnovers. A stat that will make our coach smile during his post game presser.
Only 7 turnovers? Seemed more like 17. Actually, it was 11.

Helpside defense was outstanding tonight on Parham. He almost never had any decent chances. He got frustrated as the game went along and tried to lean into defenders to force the referees to make a call. It worked a couple of times but he still only scored 6.

Yes FT shooting was great. Rafferty has really improved his FT the last 3 games. Also glad to see that Bothwell is apparently a good FT shooter (5 for 5 tonight).

Yes we need to get off to faster starts and shoot better for the entire game.

Would like to see all our guys get hot on a given night. Gurley was off tonight.

FU shot 15-34 from 3 and an outstanding 16-17 from the free throw line.
Great news on the FT shooting! That's been my biggest concern all year. Hope they can keep it up.

Rafferty is such an unbelievable player. Take last night for example. Wasn't his usual automatic from the field ... only goes 2-7. But, nails 6-7 from the line to get to 10 points, plus tied for team lead with 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 1 block, and tied a school record with 7 steals. So finished with a stat line of 10-6-5-7-1. Not too bad. Halfway through the year, he should be SoCon Player of the Year.

Friday Fun Fact: According to all-things-knowable (Wikipedia), there has been only one "quadruple-double" in NCAA D-1 history, recorded by Lester Hudson of UT Martin against NAIA Central Baptist on Nov 13, 2007. Hudson's stat line was 25-12-10-10-1.

Thanks to the video board operator in Timmons for showing bits of the VMI game during timeouts of the women's game, a conference win over UNCG.

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
