1) Can you revisit getting the reporters mic'd up when asking questions of Coach Richey in the post-game press conference? It was working great at the beginning of the season but we're back to where we can't hear what questions are being asked.

2) Is there a way for those of us who travel to away Men's Basketball games to get access to tickets in the section behind our team's bench through Furman? The Furman fans are always scattered throughout a few sections and we'd be even louder if we could all sit together.

FU gets a few tix's but most go to coaches family and players family as they should.
Probably just need to buy tix early behind team bench while available.

For example tickets for Sunday Jan. 29th showdown with UNCG at the Greensboro Coliseum can be gotten here (section 108 is behind Furman bench):

Where will the teams practice once construction starts? Will one season be played at the Well?

has the arena construction started yet?
The sooner the better. Remember WC and UNCW hosted the Tar Heels when their new places opened. Believe SC also visited WC that year.

Hopefully they (NC, SC, CU, GA, and/or the like) would not draw the line at the fact that we would not have a $100,000,000 “new place” and would have “only” a “$40,000,000 renovated place”.

Not sure about #6. Pretty sure Dan is the one who said it “will be about the same”. Bad move if it doesn’t increase by at keast 500-1000. People show up and find they can’t get in, don’t come back. We used to have 3k show up pretty regularly before they cut capacity again.

Agree!
Anything 3k-4k would be alot better.
For 5k+ crowds we go downtown.

SD is not an insider. SD has no connection with FU in any way. Howere based on benchmarking other arenas (lower bowls), SD believes we will be lucky if arena size is 2500-2800 peeps. Of course, the drawings could change. And the SRO for students could drive that number up

SD recommends not getting your hopes up too high in this area. Basically at $40M Tmmons is gonna be the Taj Mahal of small arenas,

CofC facility holds 5,100, with the vast majority in the lower bowl

Elon holds 5,100 with vast majority in lower bowl

Wofftard holds 3,500

High Point holds 4,500

Belmont holds 5,000

We should shoot for around 3-4k

Agree with Hoopla. You woild think with a nice new arens more people will want to come and check it out. I could see crowds of 3k plus. If you build it too small there will be no room for new fans which will be disappointing and you would think is one of the purposes of the reno. We already sellout Timmons occasionslly and used to have crowds of 3k plus. Something similar to WC would be ok. Their lower section seats app. 3k. 2,500 would defeat the purpose. Hoopla yiu forgot a few others that have nice arenas in the 3,000-3,500 range. UNCA, Mercer and Samford. Pretty sure Samfords gym holds more thsn their fb stadium.

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
