I would now say we are pulling for UNCG to beat ETSU. If we win out we would then win the tiebreaker with ETSU and we would finish 3rd and avoid playing Wofford again until the finals if we kept winning in the tourney.

True how we play is very important in the tourney but no doubt Wofford as our opponent leaves the least margin for error.

I really don't think it matters. We are going to have a tough first round game against either Samford, Mercer or UTC. That is the game we need to worry about. I just don't think we have the firepower and depth to win 3 game in a row. I would like see us win the last 2 games and have a strong case for the NIT. Both will be tough and the question will be whether we can shake todays loss.

This Furman team can absolutely win the SOCON tournament. Whoever we play.

In 2015, we were 8-21 and dead last in the SOCON going into the tournament.

These guys couldn't beat Villanova or Loyola either. Oh, wait...

UNCG 60-ETSU 59

If we can win our next two games and first game in tourney we should play UNCG in semis. And who knows ETSU might beat Wofford in other semis.

Since I don't see WCU with any chance of winning at ETSU next Saturday its pretty simple from here
If we go 2-0 we will be the 3 seed
If we go 1-1 or 0-2 we will be the 4 seed

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
