Looks like they've had a weigh in. Some surprising numbers there.

Looks like it may be a partial update, maybe the ones that stayed on campus to work. Only 4 of the previously posted 9 OL have changed:
Kroeber 302 from 286
Neely 283 from 273
Harris 303 from 288
Godwin 283 from 281
All positive.

Actually quite a few weight updates… highlight some jumps that I think are very positive. Wynn is now over 200, Evan Jumper came in at 240, McCormick was listed around 216-218, Devonte Jones has dropped from 307 to 275, Dillon Vann is up to 234, Gilby is now listed at 233.
Corey Watkins 198
Devin Wynn 203
Bryce McCormick 224
Josh Agbenou 227
Domenic Roberto 236
Braden Gilby 233
Cameron Coleman 295
Evan Jumper 262
Devonte Jones 275*
Dillon Vann 234

Obviously Kroeber and Harris up over 300 from the 280's. Good job!

Interesting. I guess that's about where CH wants them.. I know he prefers quicker technique over just mass - he isn't an SC State disciple where they seem to have a bunch a' 320 pound guys who cannot move. I figured we wanted Neely a lil' bigger - has to be hard to hike the ball and be 273 lb as a Sophomore against some of the big elder DL in the league

Hendrix wants them to have "good weight," which is going to differ for each player.

agreed. It has to fit. Big and slow isn't good - you still need to be able to move and get there first... You don't want to be light and wear down ... but I have noticed some teams (MEAC?) always have these 320 guys and the teams aren't good.

Couple of moves in Wang to TB and Taylor Hodge to NG. Freshman QB Carter Bir no longer listed.

I think that leaves us with only 3 DTs. Of course, I think all of that is subject to change over the spring as we tend to shift in and out of a lot of defensive looks - so, someone's title isn't necessarily relevant to where and how much we may see them on the field.

Apparently Carter Bir plays for TCU now. I don't understand why he would come to FU if TCU had offered. Or what would make him change his mind once here in Greenville. Could TCU have offered him after he signed?

That is very bizarre. TCU couldn't have offered after he signed with Furman ... he was supposedly Furman bound in late May according to Twitter. But maybe the Horned Frogs lost a player and hinted through the grapevine that he had a spot if he wanted it? Which would be an NCAA violation, but not surprising. Maybe he thought he would start at Furman from day one, and when he realized that it wasn't going to happen he figured he could sit on the bench at Furman or sit on the bench at Big XII TCU closer to home. Or maybe he just got homesick and knew that he could walk on at TCU, which would be completely fair. I have not heard this guy's name mentioned once in all the talks about the QB position ... he doesn't appear on the website or in the signing day release. Did he actually sign? Hopefully someone has some more insight.

I believe Bir was a walk on, which is what I'm assuming he will be at TCU.

Too bad.
Of course, I'm slightly impressed that Furman is targeting Texas QBs that TCU is also wanting.
