That's a fine young man right there.

Here's what really ticks me off about Mr. Hinton: His hair. There he is with a full shock of healthy hair right there atop that handsome face, and here I am suffering through baldness and a face like an insect. Its just not fair. But at least I got him beat on weight by a clean 25 pounds of pure Crisco.

He does appear to be a fine young man with a high level of intelligence. His enthusiasm jumps out of the screen - as it does when he is on the field. Reminds FUBeAR of a Paladin WR/KR, not many will remember (but should) - Mark Rudder from Dunwoody HS. FUBeAR loved him some Mark Rudder.

And…speaking of Past Paladins, Coach Sheridan had a rule that Players were not allowed to have facial hair during the season.

It was a good rule.

I think we've seen enough of Mr. Hinton to say the dude is scary in the open field against any competition the DIns face.
And I do remember Mark Rudder—FuBear. If I remember correctly, he was also an excellent kick-off returner.

Hinton's hair is what I call the NOVA (Northern VA) Salad, but I think you see it everywhere these days.

He's our best player on offense right now, think that is hard to debate, and embracing a leadership role in Harris absence.

When you combine lip hair and the term "salad" I get concerned ...

If you are going to emphasize "ANY" - and you did... I would check the box scores. Against Ole Miss Hinton had 5 catches for FOURTEEN yards - a 2.8 yard per reception average. Colton is GREAT. I LOVEthat we have him. But he ain't SEC talent - no need to respond with a "you are full of it". The post specifically said "ANY" competition - that doesn't hold up vs the SEC-type level. When I saw the post I was intrigued... thought "wow, he must have done better than I recall at Ole Miss"

Interestingly Josh Harris and Josh Burrell DID hold up vs Ole Miss. Which pains me. the two possible best options we had were lost for the year.

QUESTION - Is Josh Burrell eligible to play for us again next year?

I've said it before but Hinton is one of the really great evaluations/projections from the coaching staff given the offense he played in and the (lack of) offers Hinton had. We're very lucky to have him at Furman

I don't doubt that in THE LEAST !!! Love that he is on our team. That's a different statement than saying he is scary vs ANY competition. ANY comp includes Ole Miss, Texas, Oregon etc. I don't think those guys are shaking in their boots ... Ole Miss didn't look scared :D

I think he is a great player for us !!!!!!!

He had 3 catches for 53 yards against South Carolina as a true freshman. Is that good enough? Where is the line? Are the SEC WR's who get less than 50 yards on 3 catches suddenly not SEC talent?

This seems so unbelievably nitpicky and unnecessary, but sure, he's not SEC talent. Not sure anyone was arguing that he was.

yeah, probably too nit picky. Sorry. LOL - My wife is a lawyer. So it is my day-to-day LOL... sometimes I get too literal. So when anyone posts "this guy of ours could beat ANYONE !! - type of thing" ... I immediately think of the best guy I've seen on any team and think "could our guy beat that guy??" because we are saying "our guy is better than ANYONE!". Me, as a literal guy, would probably post "he's a top 10 SoCon WR or top 40 FCS WR"... there is a lot of talent out there that - just like the coaches in the coaches poll - we don't see.

eh, no worries. Hinton is a great WR !

sorry if too picky

FUWolfpacker said “sure, he’s not SEC talent”. Which means teams we face aren’t scared of him. But y’alll don’t even note that. Only mine. See the bias ?
Dude, don’t bring me into this. What I said is not equal to what you said. The majority of the best players in the SoCon aren’t SEC level talent but that doesn’t mean they can’t compete at any level on a given day. Also, if you think SoCon coaches aren’t game planing (what you would call “scared”) for Colton you’re deceiving yourself.
