Last time Furman had only 2 wins was
1972 = 52 years ago.
Will we exceed 2 wins this year?
(Yes, we’ve had multiple 3 win seasons in actually the last several years. 2012. 2014. 2016. “Not to mention” 2020. So that’s 3 [or 4]of the 12 seasons immediately prior to this season.) Getting to 3 wins this year might be “a good outcome”.

3 is possible, 4 a long shot and 5 no way.

If we lose to VMI, it's a possibility, but unlikely. I predict we beat VMI and Wofford in a close game. But i'm not confident.

We MUST BEAT VMI. Get to 3 wins. C'mon - we usually beat them kangaroos by 30+.. I give us 65% chance to beat them even though we are 21 - 2 in last 23 meetings.

Then I give us a 33% chance to beat Wofford. Their scores have been more respectable... And they have FAR fewer injuries and youth.

The season is in the dumpster. Use the next 4 games to try to get a little better and figure some things out. There are many, many things to figure out. The most disappointing thing is we have not shown any progress since the W&M game and have gotten worse not better. I’m sure the coaches will being figuring out who can play and how many games they can play to save their redshirt. If we can win one more game let it be WC but probably wishful thinking but they are not much better than us so it’s possible. Kinda sad after 2 10 win seasons we are now hoping for 3 wins, sad, very sad.
