It's not 2025 recruiting, but Furman has picked up two nice-looking PWO commits.

Coach Roper and Mainsah tweet that Furman picked up its first commitment for the 2025 class. Based on Roper’s tweet, palm trees/sunshine/running back for the bears I think?, I’m guessing it’s RB CJ Nettles from Pensacola. He was here on his OV over the weekend. Hopefully we’ll know for sure soon!

Coach Roper tweeted about a new commitment. An offensive lineman most likely based on the gif in the tweet (2 New England Patriot OL's bro hugging).

Was definitely a guess, but if it is Nettles, that would be a nice pick up.

Furman’s first public commitment is Brady Smith from CPA in TN.

Huge offer list: Mercer, Samford, Central Arkansas, UNLV, Navy, Arkansas St, Elon, Lafayette, Penn, UT Martin, SEMO, Lindenwood, Air Force, Austin Peay, Cornell, Wofford, Missouri St, Army, ODU

A great start to 2025 recruiting… Furman has a cluster of offensive linemen that Furman has offered, and they all follow each other. Based on tweets - it looks like the DINS have at least one more lineman in the books. I'm curious how many of these guys Furman can sign for 2025. This appears to be a deep position of guys with size and ability.

Hunter Taylor 6-6 295 Gville High - is announcing his commitment on Wednesday.
Eli Dorton 6-5 300 Anderson County TN -posted on June 16 his offers and a question mark.
Bryce Rainwater 6-4 305 Hillcrest - Furman has offered.
Dominic Sorrento 6-5 285 Hillcrest - Furman has offered.

I believe CPA in Franklin is Ingle Martin's school. He's sent us a couple over the years.

Hard to believe that it’s been 20 years since Ingle first played for us.

Since you like making judgements based on emojis from 17 year olds…is he saying “hey, look at these 3 attractive guys!” Or maybe “y’all, Greenville is really hot” based on the 3 fire emojis?

Just having a bit of fun, but not sure you can make any inferences on anything from emojis from a high schooler these days 🤷‍♂️.

Here was my logic…(which is probably wrong)

1. Coach Roper makes a commitment tweet involving a RB gif and a sunshine and palm tree emoji. Outside of Nettles the only other FL RB reporting an offer is Joesph Troupe.

2. Coach Colder tweets that the backfield got more dynamic today (June 10) which Nettles retweeted.

3. That same day, Nettles announces his commitment date.

4. Checked his timeline to see he was just at Furman that same weekend, June 8. (Pictured with Roper and Colder who seem to be handling his recruitment)

Only thing throwing me off is a random retweet from his visit (and offer) to Miami (OH) from July 2023.

It’s not an exact science, and I’ll probably be wrong but those things certainly seem to point that direction. We’ll see in a few days!
