Congrats to these guys. A lot of work went into those accolades.
Anyone know the last time we had OPTY?
I honest don't. It's usually a big number QB from a spread pass happy system. Even Ingle Martin was a second team QB.

Our friend WCU95 pointed out something interesting to FUBeAR.
WCU QB Cole Gonzales is the Media OPOY, 1st Team QB, and he's also a Finalist for the Walter Payton Award... and he's not even on the Coaches 1st of 2nd Teams.
And...look at this ... from the SoCon release of the Coaches All SoCon Teams....
Notes:
- Samford quarterback Michael Hiers and Mercer wide receiver Ty James (Walter Payton Award), Mercer defensive back Lance Wise and Chattanooga defensive lineman Jay Person (Buck Buchanan Award), Samford wide receiver Brendan Jenkins (Jerry Rice Award) and Furman coach Clay Hendrix (Eddie Robinson Award) are all national finalists for FCS legacy awards. Western Carolina quarterback Cole Gonzales is also a finalist for the Payton Award.
FUBeAR added the underline/bolding - They left him out...initially...and then added him later...it appears.
That's really odd...and FUBeAR thinks it says something....not sure what it says....don't even really have any ideas what it say....but it has to say something...something about the media, or about WCU...or about the Coaches....
Y'all are NOT Bears of little brain....you'll know .... WHAT DOES IT MEAN????

Dnag, that's a LOT of Paladins!
COY, OPOY, JBT, and FOY is like being dealt 4 Aces. Truly shocked the SoCon coaches would unbend enough to vote for that much Purple & White.
