He was a highly regarded high school coach. He'd caught on and coached at a successful FCS program as a coordinator. He was an "East Tennessee guy" with a lot of connections in the area.
He's largely looked out of his depth since leaving the high school game.

In my mind the only way we get there is by going 10-1 to lock up that Top 4 (maybe even Top 2) seed, otherwise the committee will most likely screw us over!
