VMI's Udinski was 48-63 437 yds and 5 TD's but lost to the Citadel 34-32.
Wofford took care of ETSU as expected 30-17. WC with about 300 yds rushing and ET with 200 yds passing and that was about all of the offense.
WCU had 710 yds of offense but lost by 2 TD's to Mercer 59-46. Mercer had almost 600 yds pretty evenly distributed. WCU 401 passing yds. and 309 rushing yds. Tyre Adams had 545 yds of total offense for WCU.
As strange as it may seem FU is not out of the title hunt. I think the eventual champion will have 2 losses. I expect Sammy to run the table now including beating WC and ETSU but already has 2 losses. . Mercer is the only other team besides WC with one loss but plays at WC next week and we play them the last game. It could very well end up in a multiple team tie for first place with everyone with 2 losses.

Here's what is left for all six who still have a shot.
WC 4-1 Mercer, @ Sam, @WCU
ET 4-1 WCU, @Mercer, Sam
MU 3-1 @Wof, ET, @UTC, FU
CH 3-2 VMI, @FU, Mercer
SU 3-2 WC, @Cit, @ET
FU 2-2 @Cit, UTC, @VMI, @Mercer
As you can see there is a lot of FB left. A lot to be decided, no clear cut favorite.

It is over for us except for the crying! I do not expect Wofford to stumble. Regardless of any details we have played poorly the second half of ETSU, Western and Sammy. We can “play for” a winning season and being better next year and pride but that is largely it.

It is definitely a long shot. WC is good but very beatable. I think Sammy could beat them in B'ham and Mercer could outscore them. Even WCU has a shot in the 'whee with their offense.

Well even playing for a 6-4 season or 5/5 is something.
1) play to have a winning season
2). Play so as to be .500 at 5-5
2). Play so we beat Citadel or Chatt or whomever - esp Citadel.
(You already have bragging rights on Wofford! Way to go)
This is key. KEEP PLAYING HARD. Come back fighting just like you did after the ETSU Loss ... if we finish strong you could be recognized as a post-season Top 25 team. Always a point of pride. We were getting votes last week.
And that leads to next year.. starting the year as a pre-season TOP 25. That really helps make the playoffs next year !
C’mon guys. Beat Citadel. Finish Strong.

Considering how many players we have returning next year, that's a helluva lot to play for.
We need all the "Mo" we can muster going into the off-season. I like the "W"s myself, whether we are in the post-season hunt or not. Wins help with recruiting. Our season may end the third weekend in November but College Football is a continuous process.

Winning a share of the league title is probable if we win out. Sammy should beat Woffy and ETSU. We give Chatt their 3rd and Mercer their 2nd loss if we win out. Sammy has 2 losses already.

No, we have a tremendous amount to play for-just disappointing in what we are playing for and what we like to play for (solo So Conf Championship, playoffs etc.).

If you have say 3-4 teams with two conference losses does anyone know the tiebreaker for the playoffs?

In the event of a three-way tie, the won-loss records of the tied teams against each other is first considered (i.e., head to head concept). If the teams are still tied, then each team’s record against the highest seeded team not involved in the tie is considered. If the tie is still not broken, the teams’ won-loss record against the next highest seeded team not involved in the tie is considered and so on down the line until the tie is broken. If the tie is still not broken, the team with the fewest points allowed among the tied teams shall be considered. If this does not resolve the tie, then the automatic bid will be determined by a random draw conducted by the Commissioner;
C. In the event of multiple ties after a three-way tie, the same procedure as used to break a three- way tie will be applied until the tie is broken.

This is a lot to ask for but we need Mercer to beat WC and win out until they play FU the last game. We need WC to win out after losing to Mercer and in the process beat Sammy and thus eliminate Sammy. FU needs to win out and beat Mercer the last game . This would result in a 3 way tie an FU would be 2-0 against the other 2 and thus get the auto bid. Of course there are a bunch of other scenarios but the above is one that would work. Of course a 2 way tie with WC or Mercer would work also.

For any chance for autobid
Citadel beats Samford
Furman win out
Wofford win out
Samford beats ETSU
Three way tie Furman Woff ETSU
All 1-1 against each other
"If the tie is still not broken, the team with the fewest points allowed among the tied teams shall be considered"
I'm no lawyer but it is always going to be a choice of a team "among the tied teams"
So the points refers to the games between the tied teams
They could have written:
... fewest points allowed in all games shall ...
...fewest points allowed in all FCS games shall ...
... fewest points allowed in SOCON games shall...
If it refers to anything beside points allowed in the games between the tied teams it is completely ambiguous.
So it may be difficult for some but we need to root for the Citadel to win!

An AGS poster rec’d clarification from the SoCon Dir of Championships. As always, the answer is “C” ... fewest points allowed in SOCON games shall...
