I dove into some of Coleman's clip this morning.
He's a good looking athlete. Good motor. Lot of speed. Makes plays.
I would have to think we are looking at him as a defensive back.

Coleman, I believe, had some big offers early—not sure why he didn't sign early. Coleman is an example of a lot of talent out there that is still uncommitted. Furman's coaches are currently following many players, a big mix of portal guys and high schoolers.

Furman has offered Kory Jones (Pendleton HS) a PWO.
Jones is a 6-4 wide receiver, first-team all-state had over 1,500 yards and 20 touchdowns his senior season. He would be a nice get as a PWO. Kinda surprised he doesn't have some FCS scholarship offers.
Jones, IMO would be a nice fit at Furman. He has played some TE in high school and already weighs 205 pounds. Jones could be another hybrid WR/TE player for the DINS.

Agreed Astro. That’s kind of what I thought watching him.
Do you know if this guy is a PWO or an actual offer? He notes PWO in a elon offer, but it’s hard to tell this time of year as the PWO offers are going out.

My guess is Potes is a PWO offer.

What is the difference between a preferred walk-on and a walk-on?

Preferred walk-on’s participate in Summer Pre-Season Practices before school starts. Assuming the NCAA still has any rules and elects to enforce them, only 95 (that used to be the rule - could have changed) participants were allowed before school started.

Furman offers Javaris Jones. DB with offers from Brown, Dartmouth, NC Central, and Bucknell.
Additionally, several of the coaches were in home with Darren Coleman last night.

Looks like a lot of the recent action is on guys that play DB.

Coach Mainsah posted about getting a DB commit tonight. Coleman would be the most likely option with the coaches being in home with him recently
