correct. plan and simple. all 3 phases were horrible
dont believe the we haven't quit" hype. They quit
u cant take 2 sacks in that situation. u can blame that on coaching

Why the QB change? I know some are going to justify it with our point total today, but that was a very winnable game if we had any threat of a passing game. As soon as the Cats sold out to stop the run (what took them so long?), it was game over.

think a kid can redhsirt if plays less than 4 games. guessing thats it

Yep. That would have been the only reason I wouldn’t have started him. Other than that, no other reason not to. Where is HS academically? Isn’t he on his way to med school after this school year?

Then maybe we will get ranked and make it in the playoffs when we end up 4-7.
No seriously as we have discussed before folks always see things differently.
I absolutely do not think we are two plays from being a good football team.

How many of you who posted in this thread were in Cullowhee today? I thought so.
Our loss today had nothing to do with the QB or the offense. We lost today because we had zero pass defense. Take away their long plays and wide open receivers, and we win by three scores.

Be careful of Absolutes. Someone in this thread was there
Anyway, Flag, we agree. our pass D is HORRIFIC. I mean pathetic. For all of Vaughn success this year - and it has been a lot - we haven’t played a passing O. VMI and now Samford scare me. Sammy is basically the same as Western. Throw the ball / very little D.
That said, our O got shut down once they crowded the line and the inner box since we can’t run outside or execute the option. We can run… but only inside the tackles. No ,pitch or option to respect. But again I agree, Offense isn’t the issue at 42-43.
On the other hand, not blaming HS p, but it’s certainly legitimate to wonder why not play JW when we should be building for the future? That’s a legit question. CCH said that to get JW ready he needs game reps. Then he goes and starts HS when we can’t make playoffs ?
