Been to Cookeville once. Impressed with TTU, college community, and Fan /Alumni support.bigpurple75 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 05, 2021 5:00 pmJackal is correct. They are a much better team at home than on the road. If we even think about resting on what happened yesterday, we might be surprised. We are a decent team, but we can still lose a bunch of close ones or win a bunch of tight ones. That is why you have to play the game.
I rarely post anymore, but I do laugh at most of the posts I read!!
When we went, my group of 10-15 Tents & 50-75 peeps were able to secure the (free) grassy spot across from the library (closest FUBeAR has ever been to a library on a college campus), near the tennis courts for our Tailgate and parked our cars in the library parking lot just across Stadium Dr. First come / First Parked. There was live music & (friendly) TTU tailgate parties just around the trees toward the stadium & bathroom access in the hoops arena (out of frame toward top left of pic - I think it was the hoops arena, anyway) just beyond the the bandstand. Highly recommend making the trip.mathprofhiker wrote: ↑Sun Sep 05, 2021 10:44 pmI plan to be up in Cookeville next Saturday. Teams that lose in week 1 tend to improve the most before week 2, so I would expect TTU to play better against us than they did against Sammy. For anyone thinking of making the trip, tickets in the visitor's section through the TTU website are only $10!
Their last 2 drives were 2 and 43 yds plus they had a punt return TD, so that’s 21 points on 45 yds.The Jackal wrote: ↑Sun Sep 05, 2021 10:39 pm
It was an odd game, statistically. Especially when you compare it to Furman's effort. Samford scored 52 points with essentially the same offensive output Furman had.
I suppose one positive takeaway is that Samford's defense is, generally speaking, not at Furman's caliber. If Tenn Tech had difficulty putting points on Samford, they'll probably find the sledding tougher against Furman.
