We can hush all this Chattanooga talk with a decisive victory at Paladin Stadium this Saturday.

There is an FCS Fans podcaster and I believe he's also prominent on that Facebook group page - that ranted about Furman pre-season and I'm sure since the loss to VMI - will never give Furman a vote for anything this season.
The same goes for Sam at Hero - B-Mac has ties to SC and always seemed to be up on Furman. Chatty is getting way too much love on AGS and from HERO we will see what happens at Paladin Stadium Saturday.

Lose all credibility showing NDSU as a bubble team and beng left out. If they are a bubble team they won’t be left out.

Right. This game is huge!! Also, any possible overrating of Chatt (not saying they are but if) is only in our favor as it gives us credit for beating a top 12 team. Please win Furman. Go Furman !

Would be fun to get a home playoff game against NDSU tho.

Just my read on the landscape, but there are a handful of teams that have already had their post season hopes dashed.
We're a big game for UTC.
I also imagine we'll get everything Mercer, Wofford, and the Citadel have in the kitchen sink. Beating us would be a bright spot to their spring season.

We win out… we're going to be in good shape. The first coaches poll of the season just came out.
Furman is 11th. Chatty is 12th and VMI is 18th.
Bear has already mentioned this — if VMI wins out they of course win the SoCon and get the auto-bid.
If this happens and Furman wins out chances are both teams could be ranked in or close to the top ten this spring.
You would think Furman has a solid claim at an at-large bid.

Realistically, I'd feel different if the entire FCS season wasn't sort of a toss up.
Even the nation's #1 team (who has looked far from dominant) has now had its second game postponed in a row due to COVID protocols. James Madison has now "paused" all football activities.

EVERY game we need to step on the field, own it, and dance in the opponent's guts until the final second ticks off. Enough with the playing not to lose. Stretching the field will open the running holes.

Yep - looks like FU is about #5 At-Large ‘ranked’ in this one.
That Paul C must be a pretty smart fella after all, huh?

FUBeAR had already dropped JMU (almost) out of the Top 10 in his AGS poll, from their performances vs. BobbyMo & E*Loan...with cancelling (effectively) 2 games & “pausing all activities,” they will tumble further - perhaps out of the Top 25. No CovidMulligans on FUBeAR’s ballot. We had 10 torn ACL’s 1 season & no one felt sorry for us. It’s the program’s job to do what it takes to keep their kids healthy & field a Team. If you ain’t playin’ or practicin’ - you sure as heck don’t deserve to be ranked.
That said, Furman is ‘ranked’ about #10 At-Large in the AGS poll that just dropped. The good news is that Chatt. is ranked #12 & VMI is #15. Furman @ #17 (actual rank).
Beat Chatt. - hopefully, handily on Sat. & FU should move up to at least #14. I think it’s best if the Keydets keep winning too. Like to see them beat (#33T AGS) Samford on Sat and then (#38 AGS) Woffy the following week. They could get into the Top 10 with those 2 wins & their 1 point (missed XP) win over FU will ‘pull’ FU up along with them - as long as FU also wins. I think that makes more sense than hoping the Keydets lose 2x...unless they lose to Sammy this weekend - THEN - I’ll swallow the bile it causes & hope the Teary-ers hang that 2nd L on VMI.
