Free parking at county square. Great exposure in Greenville community to folks that may not ordinarily come to Furman. Believe it or not, driving to Furman could keep some folks away as well.Flagman wrote: ↑Wed Aug 01, 2018 9:59 pmSaturday, August 18, 5:30-7:00pm. Admission cost, $8.00, which includes the Drive game. A $7 upgrade gets you food. For a family of 4, that could cost between $32 and $60. That doesn't include $5- $10 for parking. I remember when it was held on campus and was free, except for food when it was served. We have a great facility on campus and could offer tours of Pearce-Horton. Plus free parking. Can't help but think the cost and inconvenience of Fluor Field will keep some folks away.
I tend to agree. I wouldn't want to judge someone's financial situation, but 60 bucks for 4 people to eat, watch baseball and meet the football team/get autographs/free stuff sounds like a pretty awesome and inexpensive Saturday night. Would be certainly more expensive to go out to eat or have to eat at the concessions stand. Plus like Joey F said, it opens the Paladins up to a segment of Greenville's population that might not have any Furman experiences. Win-win.JoeyFreshwater wrote: ↑Fri Aug 03, 2018 7:24 amFree parking at county square. Great exposure in Greenville community to folks that may not ordinarily come to Furman.
