Guilty for loving college sports

Sometimes I do feel guilty for caring about college sports ... Thankfully, I think Furman is about as clean as it gets! This is a good quick read on how bad it is out there:

"A month after being accused of physically abusing players and an assistant coach — among other boorish behavior — Gregg Marshall stepped down as Wichita State’s men’s basketball coach.
He received $7.75 million to do so. ... "
Someone on here argued with me that high-paid Football coaches and CEOs are the same. I don't think that's true. If you choked and punched people (or something analogous) as a CEO you would not find another job - at least at a similar level. But coaches just get hired and rehired.. heck, Hugh Freeze is still making big money after a lot of trouble at Ole Miss and also his calls to escort services etc. And he is right back in the running as a top candidate for the USC job. Usually CEOs with that history are not picked up again
