NC A&T has won 4 out of the 5 Celebration Bowls that have been held between the SWAC and MEAC as a substitute for FCS tournament participation. So this really impacts HBCU football beyond even just the MEAC. I imagine the rationale for the move is broader than football, but that's by far the most obvious impact.

Great point. They are giving up a big money making and exposure opportunity by turning away from the Celebration Bowl. My guess is even advancing to Frisco wouldn't equal that level of coverage.
