I would like to have some info about overtime games involving Furman football. If anyone has readily available info, I wish they would post it.
When was our last overtime game, and the result?
What additional info going back far as possible would anyone please give?
I want to see this because there seem to be so many overtime games now. Virginia Tech beat UNC in 6 overtime’s today. Georgia Tech (Citadel’s “victim”) beat Miami in overtime today. There are lots of examples this season, although maybe it’s just the normal rate, similar to all previous seasons.
Others today involved wins by Jackson State, Lehigh, Abilene Christian, Georgia Southern over CCU(3 OT), etc. Last week, it was the famous SC win over Georgia.
(Of course, I’d prefer that we would win all our games in regulation. However, winning in overtime or many multiples of overtime obviously is the second preference, compared to losing.)

Just an FYI, they have changed the OT rules this year. After the 4th OT all they do is play sudden death from the 3 which is just a 2 point try. First conversion wins. I don't think FU has had that many OT's but 2 that pop in mind was the 3 OT loss to Nevada in the semi-finals and the 4OT debacle against Coastal a few years back. Sure there have been more.

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
