Good stuff . Whatever helps encourage casual fans to want to come. I like it!

"Box Offices Open: 11:00 AM
Gates Open: 11:30 AM
Paladin Regiment March/Concert (Timmons Arena to PAC Circle): 11:40 AM
Champions Walk (Paladin Stadium): 12:04 PM
Paladins Beer Garden at Champions Grove Opens: 1:00 PM"

thoughts? We have been discussing ways to encourage attendance. Not sure this changes it much but for what was a dry campus it's a fairly big move

It appears that it is outside the stadium fence, so fans will have to go out and back in. Quite an effort, but I guess not too much for drinkers. It was only a matter of time.

No word on prices.

Why 1PM.?? That just means more people won't be in their seats at kickoff. Pretty stupid move with the timing. We already have enough trouble getting people to leave their tailgates and heaven forbid come to the game.

This blows the mind. We are encouraging people to LEAVE the stadium at exactly game time to go buy a beer? Why would anyone do that? Got to be a mistake or a joke

AP, agree that starting at kickoff has a plus and minus.. less liability is the plus.. minus is that some who would have entered game near the start may stay out there until halftime now as you say

why not start it at noon or something. Furman is great but we do some horrible things at time - KISTLETOE !!! just mind numbing from time to time

If you think it is a joke or mistake you haven't been watching long enough... HOT HOT HOT - It is amazing what schools do sometimes

W.E. Willis Store in TR is going retro this Saturday by providing the Beer Garden with some cold and refreshing kegs of Old Milwaukee....

The Champions Grove Beer Garden is located inside the stadium at the tent near the football field house. Fans with tickets on the West Side of Paladin Stadium can purchase beer and wine between kickoff and the end of the third quarter, following the Paladin Club Reception. Alcohol sales are limited to this space and cannot be brought into the stadium seating areas. Patrons under 21 need to be accompanied by a parent.

good stuff. hope it doesn't diminish fan cheering in any way as the people sometimes in tents are known to just mingle... but at least inside the stadium is FAR better.

Still stupid. Even worse really, hopefully we will not have 200 peeps standing by the tent instead of their seats. NOW you have the liability of peeps slipping and sliding ups and down a hill? I think peeps will have to want beer pretty bad to go for this.

What’s the attraction if you can’t take it back to your seat? So all of the beer and wine drinkers will have to stand around this tent while they consume their drink?

Does this statement strike anyone as “odd”?

Everyone upset with this also voiced negative opinions about the Hospitality Zone right? I’m struggling to find the real difference between the two areas based on everyone’s complaints.

Right, if someone wants to go to the beer garden and buy a drink its all good, they can watch the game from the bank on that side of the stadium, that's way better than them going to their car during the game to drink, maybe this keeps a few more people inside the stadium and makes a few extra bucks for FU, I see no problem with it

Just sell it in the stadium with vendors hawking it up and down the aisles. That way you can stay in your seat.
