Last season CCH and staff did a great job getting the most out of the new four-game redshirt rules. Last year was a banner recruiting year - I was curious how many incoming freshmen would get PT in 2019?

Here's where we stack up based on my quick scanning of player participation listed for each game.

Played in all six games
Chizik
Agbenou
J Miller
Jumper
Played in five games
W Anderson
Abshier
H Ryan

Played in four or less
Toomey (four games) Toomey is maxed out - will he redshirt or keep getting PT?
Roberto (three games) Roberto is a weapon - will redshirt based on the health of Maples.
Shiflett (two games) My bet he takes a redshirt.
Kuzemka (two games) Special teams?
A Jones (one game) Redshirt.

Who could we see get some PT next?
Johanning - OL
J Barton - DE
Bell - WR/KR

I'll go ahead and take a guess that we will see several of the 2020 commits get early PT next season.

With Perryman graduating, keep an eye on Youngblood and DiMaggio.
Wilson and Davis could contend for back up line duty.
Jack Rhodes and Micah Robinson are impressive, I could see both get PT.
Ambe Caldwell is a big body receiver that will bring in a lot of athleticism.
I'm really curious to see what the coaches will do with Kendall Thomas? Thomas is on track to shatter 2,000 yards rushing his senior season.

Astro loves him some freshman like I love injury knowledge. I like it. I went to the STATS

Astro, either way, I really appreciate you making that list.

and there you don't see Wayne Anderson as having played.. Astro did better going to "player participation. Funny though, all the others were correct in our bio / STATS list like Abshier even if he never touched the ball was still listed as which games he played in.

Personally, I hope we see Austin Jones.. he has 3 games left to maintain a redshirt and get practice. Even w playoffs you could just help him progress by playing him vs Western or POINT and if he helps then get him in another game. I have heard great things about him

Toomey was taken off the depth chart. I suspect that is your answer
