Pulling for VMI to give Sammy their 2nd conference loss.
I said when I watched the last quarter and OT of the VMI-ETSU game-the VMI win was no fluke.
Granted a VMI win will take a little polish off our Sammy win but it is what it is.

VMI wins.
VMI running back Ramsey had SIX touchdowns.

Sammy's last play, 4th down, had to have a TD... QB pitches to the WR who drops back and throws to a WIDE open Sammy receiver in the endzone and the throw goes over his head.

Wild game. Who would have thought the FU/VMI game might have Conference Title implications. The SoCon must be thinking:

Given the weekly scores, I wonder if our Defense is not the key to our success thus far.

Vmi kicker hit 50 some FG in last play to make it to OT. Better than USC and UGA. LOL - kickers matter! What is lost in this is HORRIBLE HORRIBLE clock management by VMI in end of regulation. They had to review to see if they had a play left to kick the FG as they threw a pass short of sideline and time expires ... but review game them a few seconds back. That was a horrific play - football 101. Throw to get out of bounds on last play to save time.

Like most sports, a game of inches, but boy was he WIDE OPEN. I suspect a little pressure on the wide receiver throwing it (mental pressure but no physical pressure per se from VMI).
I am happy for VMI to be having a good season.

We should know not to let WRs throw passes. Lol. Not a fan of trick plays on last plays. Let your best QB throw to your best WR or use your best RB.

Yep VMI was very fortunate to even be able to get off the 56 yard FG. Horrible clock management by VMI such that many, including many players, at least for a few seconds thought the game was over and that Sammy had won in regulation.

A great opportunity for ETSU to tag UTC with a loss-which would be great for Furman. UTC beating ETSU would be meaningless for Furman.
