Now if we can just keep this team together and keep people out of the portal...

Amen. I will contain my optimism until we know for certain who is coming back next year.

I was so dejected over Wofford and so elated over the ETSU win I forgot to post... haha.

Seriously, 8 proved the maxim I have been saying all season, he can win games for you or lose them. He has matured over the season and is beginning to eliminate the bad decisions. If he plays within the offense, we will win games. Shoot, if you take some of those soul searing mistakes away, we probably win ChsSo, VMI and maybe W&M. But only because he made plays that put us in position to win.

Run game is coming along. Change at C helped an we are beginning to understand what we can and cannot do with what we have.

Emergence of TE in throw game is huge!

This offense is beginning to develop the foundations of an identity that will serve us well next year. Now if we can just keep this team together and keep people out of the portal...
This season was another cautionary tale in riding with a freshman QB.

This season was reminiscent a bit of the 2019 season where Furman had big peaks and valleys behind Darren Grainger, who we ran out there as a freshman. Some games would be outstanding. Other games like he'd never seen a football before.

The positive note is that we appear to have QBs that can lead this team and have the tools to be successful. With maturity will come improved decision-making and playing within the offense.

Watching the TE position continue to develop within Roper's offense will be fun to watch.

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
