Another big, fast, physical fullback. Load up the boat!
Furman might have a full boat - depending on one player I think the DINS are at 13 commits with a small senior class (15) I'm not expecting a class larger than 15-16.

There has been so much recruiting action the last several days I thought I would update who has committed.
I've broken them down by offense and defense. Just a guess Myion Hicks will play RB at Furman.

Jace Wilson 5-10 170 QB Austin, TX
Devin DuCille 5-11 220 RB Alpharetta, GA
Myion Hicks 5-11 215 OLB/RB Dallas, TX
Joshua Harris 6-3 175 WR Kennesaw, GA
Landon Whittemore TE 6-4 225 Macon County, TN
Jack Healy TE/OLB 6-3 220 Wilmington, DE

Tommy Beuglas 6-1 225 MLB Buford, GA
Bryce Stanfield 6-2 250 DE Harrison HS, GA
Christian Paraison 6-3 245 DE Ft Walton, FL
Alex Maier 6-4 225 DE Fleming Island, FL
Jason Gilliom 6-2 190 DB North Gwinnett HS, GA

Paraison on film looks like he fits our DE position - big body high motor pass rusher.

* Unknown TE Commit - tweeted by coaches

Tommy Beuglas 6-1 225 MLB Buford, GA
Bryce Stanfield 6-2 250 DE Harrison HS, GA
Christian Paraison 6-3 245 DE Ft Walton, FL

Also, I could be off by one - following twitter posts we've had three commits this weekend. Players that announced are Hicks and Paraison. Coaches mentioned getting another tight end. With Whittemore already committed I'm wondering if the other TE is an H-Back type?

Just my read, but Hicks will be a Fullback.

Furman has gotten to a point where they are looking for prototype players. Hicks fits that mold and is roughly the same build as DuCille.

It isn't surprising we would double dip on FB in this class. With Maples no longer on roster, we currently have Abrams and Roberto with extensive playing time. They are both sophomores, so no need to play a kid right away, but we don't have a ton of numbers there.

I know we're all disappointed in no fall football for the DINS -but- Furman is building something here. Last year's class was ranked the #2 class in FCS (ranked by offers not stars) this class is appearing to be just as impressive.

The most impressive thing to me about this class is - athletic ability and size.

more on Jack Healy

Jack Healy 6-3 220 TE/OLB
Salesianum School
Wilmington, Delaware

Offers: Furman, Colgate, Columbia, Dartmouth, Fordham, Penn, Holy Cross, Sacred Heart

Healy is one tough linebacker - but if you fast forward to the 1:10 mark you'll see why Furman wants him as a TE.

Ooh, we got us one of the Sallies!

FUBeAR once lived in Bear (really), DE, just South of Wilmington. A lot of the neighborhood kids were Sallies. Good school. Good Athletics / Football program.

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
