High expectations were never realized. Had less than 10 career catches. Primarily a return guy. Wish him well also.

I am not surprised that Furman is not bringing in a high volume of transfers this year. With so many returning starters on both sides of the ball, there's not a lot of room for guys looking for more playing time. That's a fantastic problem to have.

I had a feeling it was going to be him. Sad to see it. Thought Ivan had a lot of potential. My guess is he didn’t earn the starting spot this fall and decided to move on to play.

not sure how much PT Gummer and Hammer will get
The incoming class of DBs, on paper, could earn playing time this season.
Jaylen Moson, was a 3-Star DB, with offers from 20 FBS schools.
Brayden Holmes, had over a dozen offers, including Arizona St.
AK Burrell, looks like a great pickup from Louisana.
Hysan Dalton, is a 6-2 corner, played HS ball at Buford, and prepped at Fork Union. He could be the surprise of this class.

Stupid decision. Looks like he is the 3rd CB. If either Blackshear or Robinson is injured he's a starter. Would get a lot of PT anyway. Blackshear is a senior. Would probably start for 2 years in '24 and '25.
Furthermore he is playing for a Top 10, maybe Top 5 FCS team with a shot to be a National Championship contender. Does that not mean anything?

You have one piece of solid info - he’s in the portal … and the rest is conjecture.
He may have found a cure for cancer and is looking to transfer to MIT to develop it. He may have been kicked off the Team for saying bad things about FUBeAR. He may be following his mentor, Coach Wright, to Delaware. His girlfriend may be going to grad school on the west coast and he wants to be closer to her. All of the above is just made up ish. We have no knowledge of his decision process. Calling it a “stupid decision” is getting WAY out over those Saloman’s.
Hate that he’s leaving, but wish him the best. Hope it’s the right decision for him.
