I don't mind the play call on that one either. Grainger is 6'4 and Gbessee is listed at 5'8. The ball was well thrown. The CB just did the only thing he could do against a guy who was a foot taller and out jumped him on a well-thrown ball -- tackled him.

Thanks, back on topic.

Looked up Point's season stats and looks like they struggle on offense....274 ypg (176 pass, 98 rush) but they are decent on D....347 ypg (185 pass, 162 rush)

As noted earlier their lone comparable game against Kennesaw St was a 59-0 affair with Kenn St amassing 433 yards rushing on 55 attempts and 159 yards passing on 6 completions in 7 attempts. Point managed 9 first downs and 129 total yards.

I'm not expecting a huge day in part due to the respect we all have for Coach D, the weather, and the probability we use our starters sparingly for an expected playoff game next week. I'll call it a 49-3 game, with most starters out of the game by halftime.

I think KSU had touchdowns on 8 of their first 9 drives.

Furman needs to play like this is the Super Bowl until it isn't. Respect the opponent but don't sleep on them. We aren't good enough to just go through the motions out there. Get a lead, put it in cruise, and keep everyone healthy.

In my ideal world we hold them to 7 points or less (would love a shutout) and to put up points in the 50+ range. So something like 35-0 at half and then cruise with backups. Plus no injuries!

Kinda cool that Wofford vs. Citadel game is at noon and our game is 1pm, who knows what the day holds, possible we could be celebrating another SoCon title by the 4th quarter :D

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
