Bunch of new Paladins on the roster.
I guess these are a lot of the walkon types.

Luke Bynum, a high school QB, is listed at WR. We've found a couple really productive players converting HS QBs into slot receivers.

Also, three players from Texas. I'm not sure I can remember one player from Texas on a Furman roster, much less 3.

one interesting addition to the roster…

Garland Greenway a 6-3 235 TE. Greenway is listed as played at Myers Park HS in Charlotte.
Greenway is interesting - only one year of HS film his junior year at Myers Park - btw… they're a very good HS team

Nothing else on Greenway until 2018 where he did post-graduate school at Fork Union.

Greenway looks very solid - could be a big pickup.

Agree. Another guy that stuck out to me was JJ Wang a CB from California.

Luke Shiflett, is now on the roster, # 12, 6-2 205 QB.
He is a soph. Hardin is a R-So, 4 others are all Freshmen or R-Fr. Have some talent and it will be interesting who emerges as the starter and leader of the team. We do not have much room for error so the right decision needs to be made from the start. We don't need to be 3-4 games into the season still not settled at QB. I have total confidence that CCH and staff will get it right.

To this point, my only criticism of this coaching staff was how they used QBs last year.

I couldn't understand the rationale last year for pulling Harris Roberts to get Darren Grainger playing time against ETSU. It was not as though Roberts was injured (or at least didn't appear to be) because he played the rest of the game. It was almost as though the staff was trying to get creative with matchups that ended up being completely ineffective.

They also put Hamp Sisson in the game against the Citadel on a first down inside the Citadel territory. Sisson attempted two passes and was lit up twice on sacks. Granted, the offense wasn't doing a whole lot to that point, but I still don't understand why you'd pull Lincoln to put in a true freshmen in his first action on the road against a good defense in a likely passing situation.

I just hate the idea of trying to switch players mid-game looking for some sort of matchup. We did it twice with terrible results.

Good points. That is why we need to have THE guy ready to go come Aug. 31st.
