True … but MTSU is rated by Sagarin right between Maine & Elon.
Jackal, can you or someone explain this to me. So Miller is pretty safe on the real 53 man roster but somehow clearing a waiver could push him back down? Sorry, I’m not a big NFL guy. Maybe someone can explain this. The terminology seems odd - if he “clears waivers’. (Which Sounds like a good thing) he can be put back in the practice squad? The Jackal wrote: ↑Thu Oct 24, 2024 12:49 pmSo, a little quirk in terminology.Sad Din wrote: ↑Thu Oct 24, 2024 11:42 amback up... with the number of WR injuries wouldnt b surprised if he stays up more than 1 week

From what I am seeing, the Buccaneers have activated/signed Miller to the "active roster." My understanding is that this will place him on the 53 man roster and he will be unable to be sent to the practice squad without clearing waivers.
Two weeks ago, Miller was elevated/called up/promoted to the game day roster, which NFL teams can do prior to the game, and then sent back down.
So, two weeks ago Miller could easily have been sent back to the practice squad. Now he's fully on the roster and can only be sent back upon clearing waivers (and, I suppose, could be claimed by another team).
At least I think that's accurate.
