I am assuming Jones, at 6'1 310, is destined for NG.

This is just my opinion, but Clay Hendrix inherited one player off the 2016 roster that fit the mold of a 3-4 NG - Jaylan Reid.

Fastforward to what is now Hendrix's third recruiting class and you are starting to see a depth chart developing. Parker Stokes is a solid option inside. We haven't seen Cam Coleman, but he's another high upside big body to throw in the middle. Now you add in Devonte Jones, who looks like a really good player for that position as well.

Big get today Devonte Jones from Hannah is on board.
FINALLY...a DLman from TL Hanna to pick up where KInley, Dameron, and CleveDog left off!

Young man has quite a reputation to uphold.

I'm pretty sure Kimmelman is a full scholarship, not a PWO.

I feel like I am seeing Furman winning most (maybe more than most) of recruiting battles against other SoCon teams.

Just scanning social media, I think Devonte Jones was a big target for Wofford. He announced his commitment to Furman, and another DL the next day announced an offer from Wofford.

Jackal, I'd say your completely right about winning the battle against SoCon schools. And I'll go a bit further.

It's getting pretty easy to see who else is really recruiting a player, this class of commits is highly offered. As of right now, at least three players have over twenty offers each. My guess concerning Jumper, Barton, and Slay it wasn't between Furman and a SoCon school it was between Furman and an FBS school. Barton recently received an offer from UMass adding to a long list. Jumper had his pick too. I will admit I'll be biting my nails on Slay.

Concerning Jones, my brother in law (a GameCock) is friends with folks connected to Hanna. Hanna also has a 5-star GameCock commit, he was told it's a battle between Wofford and Furman for Jones. IMO, he's a big get.

Furman still has some battles going on Chatty losing Arth, advantage Furman. Furman is battling the Citadel and Lafayette for the Texas RB. And I believe we're battling Mercer for one or two more.

From what I can tell - some of our losses are against the academies - primarily Army.

Ready to get some answers Wednesday. The herd will be thinned and needs more apparent. Amateur opinion Furman's top three remaining targets in no order is Wayne Anderson (RB), Joshua Agbenou (LB), and Daiveon Carrington (ATH).

Certainly seems like a good guess.

All three of those guys look like great fits for what Furman is trying to do schematically. They would put a big bow on this fine looking class.

Can I just say how much I love our new uniforms? They look very slick since CCH and staff put their touch on it.
