70 maybe? Would a 70-14 victory move us up some?

That would not be in Hendrix's nature.

We need a few more stops and avoid the Western Carolina problem.

I think a convincing win, though, would be big for selection Sunday.
We’ll we only need 4 more. Should we stop trying to score in the 2nd quarter?

I don't think we'll stop trying to move the ball. We may just change the personnel moving the ball.

Wofford has 18 yards rushing. So, they aren't moving the ball at all on us on the ground.

I wonder sometimes whether Vaughn over thinks things sometimes. He has a high pressure aggressive style, and sometimes that is going to leave us exposed.

I'd be completely fine playing quarters shell coverage and try to force Weirick dink and dunk the ball down the field for the game. The Terriers have a big offensive line (looks like five 300lbers) and don't seem to give up a ton of pressure.

At the same time, we struggle sometimes in pass defense because that's the only way teams can move the ball on us. They can't run it, they're behind, so they're going to keep airing it out. Force a turnover or two in the second half and let the offense keep doing what they're doing.

OK, at this point switch out a bunch of guys, but tell the scrubs to go all out to get 80.

Assuming the game notes are right, that is the first blocked field goal return for a touchdown in Furman history, right? Says “undetermined “ in the game notes

Hendrix/Roper need to let Jones throw the ball some this last quarter. Needs game experience tossing the ball in a game situation.

Wofford #28 was out of bounds before touching pylon. No TD. SoCon doesn't review scoring plays evidently

Again, Carson Jones gets no real game experience handing the ball off 3x with no chance to get a 1st down

We're wining by like 35, Wofford has a lot of their starters on defense, and Furman's best offensive linemen are out of the game.

Saw them in the VMI game, but like what I see out of Dudek and Harrison - two young guys on that defensive front.

Jackal, not talking about running up the score; I'm suggesting it would be helpful for Carson's development to be able to throw a short pass or two in a game situation to maybe move the chains.

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
