I know Flagman will be there but is anyone else going to this game?
I have missed 2 home games over the past 9 years. I will be in Section 4, Row O, seat 5 next Saturday Lord willing and the church don't rise.

Point's HC is Julius Dixon, a former FU player and really good guy. Let's not take out last week's frustrations on him and his team. Win decisively, but save a lil' sumpin' for the Playoff game on Nov. 30.

Coach agrees with me that it was pass interference on Darren Grainger on the endzone throw we made to him

Go back and watch the replay, the Wofford guy was pulling down on Grainger's arm when the ball was in the air

That's a phenomenal stat ... and as we know ... the Paladins did everything they could to avoid it this year. I doubt we will see another one on the schedule for another decade unless someone cancels a game last minute.

LOL - Watch Newman’s TD run to tie it up 7-7. He runs right between 2 outstanding TACKLES - One by Woffy’s OG & the other by Woffy’s TE/FB - SoCon’s Hometown Team does what they please out there.

I'm glad you saw that too FUBeAR. there were missed calls on both sides of the ball, but I did see many a flag remain tucked in the stripes DinoMut Underroos for a few PI, Block in the back, and holding calls. it was a shame...and we still had a chance...
hoping for a next time, and some execution.

I don't know why people seem to dismiss the Point Skyhawks as if its a sure victory. Some points:

1-Point has two players weighing in at 400 pounds. Yes, each. Well one is listed at 380 and the other at 370, but I bet they've been gaining up what with the holidays approaching and all. Those folks down at Point are huge!

2-Did you know that the Point Offensive coordinator has a beard like a lumberjack? Its true. And he went to Norwich, home to the first ROTC program. There's just no telling what I guy like that is gonna do on any given Saturday. A fly sweep here, a fullback off tackle there. The mind reels and is rendered boggled.

3-Julius Dixon is a super guy, yes, but he is fully capable of whooping up on a team. Ask the boys from Bluefield. Julius can bend table ware with his mindwaves. He can explode a possum with just one touch of his pinky finger. He can teleport.

My son left a little early to get the car and he witnessed some woman wearing Furman gear going batshit crazy on the guy standing at the gate. She was demanding her money back because she thought Wofford College had conspired with the officials to cheat FU out of the victory. When my son returned, the woman was being placed in a police car for a presumed trip to the nearest nervous academy.

After viewing the tape of the obvious gridiron transgressions that would go unpunished by officials throughout the long afternoon, it may be possible that she was correct and was being silenced unfairly by a vicious canine plot to derail FU's season. I think the SoCon should at least appoint a Special Counsel to look into this grievous matter and take whatever measures are necessary to right this terrible injustice; including the beheading of the guilty zebras. (After a fair trial, of course.)

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
