I have been pretty negative about the year since our early losses. I could see the writing on the wall- though I know it's an unlucky combination of factors rather than a talent disparity or a coaching problem.
I really think that the potential for a healthy FU team next year is more than most in the SoCon realize. We will catch some people off guard if everyone returns healthy.
I will be in Maconga this Saturday and I do not expect to be slaughtered. If we play our best game of the year, we may see Bear tears.
FU All the Time
Two strategies for the Macon Cubs:
1. First 2025 Scrimmage. Spring game version 1. Play everyone who would not burn a redshirt and give the experience in a live game setting. Get a head start on next year. Lot of film to teach off.
2. Empty the Bag. Load up, treat it like our bowl game. Take shots, take chances.
I think we are going to empty the bag. While 1 may be strategically smart, I don't think it's in our DNA.
I figure if we go the "empty the bag" route, then we either win a fairly close game or get run.
Guys will have fun if we go this route and I hope we do.
