Go Dins! Hedden’s passing was great minus the one INT. Running game was much improved as well! Defense played great.

It was Wofford last week, not VMI. So which game are you referring to? What’s your view of how we played last week?

Sorry but someone should be fired. Get a gift, great field position and you play for a fg. Just terrible play calling.
AP
I think you should be fired.
Nothing but piss and moan!

His negativity is probably the reason he didn’t get the email to season ticket holders about or game at Legacy.

Sitting there watching tv and trashing these 18-19 year old kids playing their ass off is something I just don’t get. Many teams would have quit at this stage. Am proud of how these boys are fighting.
CCH has said multiple times this season that there has been NO quit in his team. Today showed that. Congrats guys!!

Yep and funny I’m the only one. Amazing that everyone else has been so positive about the worst season in 50 plus years despite the great win today.

We won by 3 points. That field goal was such an idiotic call.
Well, as Charlie Munger says- it’s mandatory that you know your circle of competence.
Non stop trashing of our team and coaches ,who are all working their ass off, is some people’s habit.
Real fans are supposed to support their program, even when we have a tough season.

You are negative when we lose and also when we win, own it.
Absolutely not true. Great that you only post after the fact and never during the game.

Maybe you should try posting only after the game so real fans won’t have to read your nonsense during the game.

Boom. Setting the foundation for next year. Conrats. Great win. Congrats Clay and Team

AP You whiffed on your pre game pick. Bad. Never underestimate the heart of a Paladin

We should recruit the ETSU band. They are good.
I would not be surprised that ETSU would have a good band and a good music department.

Furman has a good band and a good music department.

Please keep in mind that ETSU has a total of about 13,500 students compared to Furman having about 2,600 students. So ETSU has roughly 11,000 more students than Furman has for having a band. Furman band has traditionally maintained very high quality.

If you want to compare Furman's band to the band of any particular school with 2,600 students, that would be a more fair comparison.

Of course, we as a 2,600-student school have athletics competition mostly against schools that are significantly larger also. That brings up the question of how we can compete in athletics with larger schools. My guess is that the percentage of team members that we provide scholarships for and the percentage of team members that larger schools provide scholarships for are reasonably equivalent.

I would expect that some Furman band members are on a music scholarship that is not specifically for playing in the band but instead for because of being a highly-talented music major; but that a majority of Furman band members are "walk-ons", i.e., without a scholarship and providing for all or most of their expenses related to band participation. I would think the same would be true at ETSU but it is a different situation due to the simple fact that they have so many more students who would be potentially and actually interested in being in band, 13,500 students compared to 2,600 students.

In any case, we would have a much larger band at Furman if we had more students in the overall student body and/or if we had significantly more music majors.

Yes, I thought that might be the case. That is very understandable. A lot of us felt like getting avoiding football long time after Furman losing to VMI.
