I’m going to start with this. More later

PLEASE BEAT WOFFORD. if I had to pick a victory over Wofford or VMI I would take Wofford every day and once this Saturday. Would love to beat just Citadel and Woffd. Beat rivals.

What have y’all seen with Wofford?

They are definitely more athletic than VMI. have 4 or 5 wins including a good win over Richmond. Omari Odom is back at QB after an injury and apparently helps the offense. Without him their Offense was struggling I think. Have to look more later. We have a shot. Cmon !!!

Odom is a 54% passer on the year. 196 ypg. 4 tds, 4 ints. He was 12-20 against Sammy so a little better at 60%. His longest completion is 40 yards. Apparently not a run threat as he is in the minus for the year. Longest run is 16 yds. Of course all those numbers likely to be eclipsed Saturday. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Oh please please beat Wofford.

My dad played for Wofford, before he entered the Navy and saved the world from Communism, and before he played for ETSU. My dad started in not one but TWO games for Wofford. Needless to say, I am steeped in Woffordistics and pretty much know everything there is to know about their chicanery. So I will say this: Wofford only puts up an average of 17 points per game. (Their season high was 31 points.) The Paladins have to hold Wofford to maybe 10 points to give our lawn chair OL scheme a chance to beat that number. A super-human effort by the Vaughn Machine can give us the W.

Vaughn's D did a commendable job last week. 21 points when one TD drive for VMI started on the 4 yard line (I.E. our O gave them that 7 points with the fumble). so I think the D allowed 14 points 'really'.

We just need some O at some point. I said last week we need 20 points. same here. Woff is better and more athletic than VMI so we HAVE to have 25 points or so ... c'mon OL etc. you can do this. NO TURNOVERS. basic plays. keep it simple.

A loss this Saturday against Wofford, if it happens, will make us 3-7 in our last 10 games against them.

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
