Duke and UNC in the AP top 25 as usual. The only other team to get a vote is NC State with one vote. Of course in the NET, Kenpom etc they fare better because those systems are heavily skewed to the P5’s. The once proud ACC has been going downhill for a few years but has hit bottom this year.

While we’re discussing nearby big conferences, I’ll bring up the SEC. In particular, USC is in the SEC of course, and I want some feedback on the board about Lanont Paris. Wow! Lamont and the Gamecocks are doing great! They would have done well to have gotten Bob Richey, and I’m thankful they did not; but they did well to get Lamont Paris.

lol I think he’s a solid coach actually although on the boring side. He’ll be back…they got screwed last season and should have been in. Looks like a nice recruiting class coming in.

Glad to read your response though and the “he’ll be back”. My next question is how confident can we feel that Richey will still be our coach 8 weeks from now. My hopes are that “he’ll [Richey will] be back”. My hopes are that Richey will be like McKillop at DC and stay with us successfully until he’s at least age 71.

Brownell will be back. Clemson is getting ready to go on a run to the Big Dance. They have the pieces in place to make the Sweet 16. As for Coach Richey, I don't worry about him. He will be where God wants him to be. I just want to enjoy every minute of having him as HC at Furman. Live the moment!

Possibly some Wofford people would substitute the name Furman for the name Wofford in your 2 sentences.
In any case, I am not sure God has decided or will decide who will win. The actions of players, coaches, and officials will likely be determinative.

If the ACC is the worst its ever been, how come there are 2 people on here forecasting the 10th place team, Clempson, going on a run to the sweet 16?

USC wins again. 17-3 now.
Presently more wins than any other SEC team.
Either SEC is terrible this year like ACC or Lamont Paris is great or both are true.
Of course, they probably also are inspired by the USC Women’s team.
