This e-mail was sent today. You have to think that our ticket office is working on reduced capacity possibilities too.
“Good Afternoon! As most of you are aware of the original date for renewing your seats from last year is August 1st. Because of the pandemic, I will not begin work on basketball until the first of October. We should have a better picture of what the season will look like. If you have not renewed as of today, please just email me back that you are interested in coming. If you are choosing to sit this season out, please let me know as well. Please take a moment to read the note from Athletic Director Richard Johnson. We will all work together to make the best of the current environment.
Thanks!
Shelby Taylor
I trust that you are staying safe during the pandemic and I want to thank you for renewing your Wofford Basketball season tickets. These are extraordinary times and there is a great amount of uncertainty about the near future, but we appreciate your support and interest.
As of this writing, we anticipate playing a normal basketball schedule. However, as we have learned over the last several months, the situation is fluid and we can’t be certain of that. We would like to be able to place renewals in your normal seats, but we are also developing seating plans that only allow for seating 25% of the capacity of Richardson Indoor Stadium to provide the recommended social distancing. It is likely that we won’t know until October what we are able to do as far as seating, so we will not be charging your credit card for now. If you paid by check, the money has been deposited, but we will issue refunds if we are unable to accommodate all of our requests due to reduced capacity.
Please know that we value your loyalty as a season ticket holder. Your Terrier Club membership is also greatly appreciated as it lets us continue to recruit high quality student-athletes.
Please continue to stay safe and we hope to see you back on campus as soon as conditions permit.”
Thank you.
Richard Johnson
