This could start a new trend for FBS Bowl “Games”…get the Teams & Fans there to spend their money, then DON’T play a meaningless Football game that NO ONE cares about.

It’s really a better model.

Just makes you wonder why Hawaii didn’t know until 24 hours before kickoff they couldn’t play. You may be on to something, FUBeAR! Now the chief medcal officer of the NFL has come out and said people without symptoms are not spreadng it as we’ve been hammered to belive. So all the these cancellations are for nothing and unnecesary. .

Sports are gonna have to unpaint themselves out of this testing corner. There doesn’t seem to be much you can do to avoid omicron.

Cancelling, even tho they feel GRRREAT!!!

Miami on board with the new model. WSU Cougs & Fans already in El Paso. Hurricanes can party on New Year’s in South Beach, maybe hang w/UGa & Mich peeps in town for a meaningful game vs. a desolate border town in the desert…although it is quite a step up from New Years Eve in Pullman, WA.

Even though FUBeAR’s model serves some purpose maybe this is the way to go. Obviously a lot of teams don’t want to participate in bowl games. The mild omnicron variant offers those teams an easy way out and they are not labelled quitters of which they are. IIRC we did not have a vaccine or as many treatments last year. IIRC no bowl games were cancelled last year due to quitters. Do away with all the bowl games, increase the playoffs to 16 teams. That would provide motivation and all the quitters wouldn’t be looking for a way out.

Exactly the nfl will be doing less testing on those vaccinated with no symptoms. The chief medical officer says they have no evidence that those without symptoms are spreading it,

If the motion is to do away with all the bowl games and increase the playoffs to 16 teams, I wish to second the motion.

Geez, if Miami is a hotbed of COVID contagion, is there any chance the Orange Bowl could be cancelled? Then things would really get interesting.

Nah…there’s money to actually PLAY that game & 2 others. Totally different than the other 273 bowl games.

So…Boise State decides they don’t want to play in the Barstool Sports Arizona Bowl and their opponent, Central Michigan, then decides to hop the next eastbound train thru the desert to El Paso to face their arch rival, Washington State, in the reconstituted Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl, replacing Miami, leaving the Arizona Bowl cancelled, instead of the Sun Bowl. Got it.

As a Public Service, FUBeAR has posted your complete guide to FBS Bowl Games below…

FUBeAR hopes everyone will join him in sending positive juju for the health & safety of these brave young men as they battle the devastating effects of this AromaCon Pandemic.

Their clear pain & suffering in this video is absolutely heart-wrenching

Ignore the cretins from NC State who are not feeling quite as charitably toward UCLA’s Football Program.

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
