Yeah, so what was the thinking of taking a knee there?? I saw that and was like, whaaaattt??? I was unable to get any postgame on any games... did the coach give an explanation?

WHAT WAS SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN ON THAT FOURTH KNEEL DOWN?
"We got a little work to do on our victory formation. We haven't worked on that as much as we should've. I guess we weren't planning on it, but it was good. The chart says with a minute and 45 seconds, you can kill the clock when they have only one time out left. So, we ran the ball once and then we're going to take a knee and he's supposed to back up and run around a bit, kill 6-8 seconds and take the knee, and we just got down a little fast. So, we've got some work to do there. But it just gave the defense another opportunity to step up."

Gamecocks announced today that they play FCS Eastern Illinois to start their 2021 schedule, which also includes games with ECU and Troy.

Among EIU’s 0-8 current season record is a loss to Chattanooga, who EIU will play again in 2022.
