Hard watching a game that Furman should be hosting but it’s s good one. Can’t root for the Gizz because they are only playing because of the blatant incompetence of the officials in last week’s game. BOTH long scoring plays on special teams clearly featured multiple and obvious penalties by the Gizz that were not called. The tape does not lie nor is it tainted by favoritism. In my opinion the Dins would have overcome that with a 100% effective Tyler Huff and our premier RB Dominick Roberto not being severely more hurt than we knew. He showed a lot of guts to play thru considerable pain on a few scoring plays. His 2 primary backups were out as well. A shame but that’s football. I hope the Bisons kick Gizz ass in the second half and shut up those obnoxious fans. The Din defense is the best in the FCS. I hope Duane Vaughan is elevated to asst HC as soon as possible.

Gizz win in OT on a tipped 2 point extra. That is one lucky team. Great game though

Unquestionably, DB was holding TE, but the correct call should have been DPI. (In this case, either penalty would have the same effect / result)

BETTER VIEW

This started similarly to Ferguson’s amazing TD catch against Samford (see below). Both players mutually ‘engaged’ shortly after the snap. Both Players hands are ‘involved’ in that ‘engagement.’ As Ferguson disengaged from the Samford DB, the Samford Player kept his hands on Ferguson, but he didn’t really hold him and he surely didn’t ’snap throw’ him to the ground (obviously).

The initial engagement of the NDSU TE and the MT DB is fine, but when the NDSU TE tries to disengage, the MT DB committed a foul when he grabbed, held, and snap-threw the NDSU TE to the ground. Players can engage and they can ‘put hands on’ one another, but grabbing, holding, and throwing an eligible receiver to the ground is not legal. Since the MT DB was still holding and the snap-throw occurred after the ball had been thrown, this should have been DPI and NDSU should been awarded another 2 point try from the 1.5 yard line.

Gotta admit yesterday's game gave the fans their money's worth.

It warmed the cockles of my heart to hear those announcers talking about how Montana's rushing game was crushed by a "nasty" Furman Defense.
